I made this title sequence before having seen the movie. Working from a small amount of information, I developed a vision of a village locked in on all sides by snow and ice, giving it a claustrophobic atmosphere.

I animated it in Macromedia Director, then pulled it through Adobe Premiere and Sorenson Squeeze to make videos out of it. Just running the animation in the shockwave plugin would lose synchronization of sound and visuals.
